We’ve also updated our branding to better reflect our values and dedication to creating a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

Welcome Sarah

Summit Community Services Society is excited and pleased to announce the appointment of new Executive Director, Sarah Jacklin. 

Sarah has returned to the East Kootenay to take the lead position at Summit after spending time working for a non-profit in the lower mainland.

Sarah replaces retiring Executive Director Heather Rennebohm and will lead the team of counsellors, daycares, seniors’ groups and office staff in Cranbrook and Kimberley.

Sarah begins her new role Tuesday, September 7. Please join us in welcoming her to the team.

Summit Community Services Society (Summit) announces the appointment of a new Executive Director. Sarah Jacklin, a Kimberley native, has returned to the East Kootenay to take over management of staffing, funding, and programming for this busy office.

Jacklin has been working for a non-profit in the lower mainland for the last number of years and is pleased to be back in the area to take the helm of Summit. She replaces retiring Executive Director Heather Rennebohm who has been with the non-profit for more than two years.

Summit is a non-profit society that has been operating in the Cranbrook/Kimberley area for over 23 years and employs 37 staff. Programs include day care, after school care, seniors programming, trauma counselling, police-based victims’ assistance, stopping the violence programming and men’s counselling.

Summit’s AGM is September 14, and the volunteer board will welcome three new members as they bid farewell to one long time member and the retiring executive director.
