SEXUAL ABUSE INTERVENTION PROGRAM

The Sexual Abuse Intervention Program (SAIP) provides therapeutic and supportive services to children and youth ages 5 – 19 for the following circumstances:

*Children under the age of 12 with touching problems

*Education/Counselling/Support for situations that involve sexual play between children

*Counselling for children/youth who have disclosed sexual abuse

Work with families and parent(s)/parental figure(s) is an important aspect of the counselling process both to address underlying issues and encourage parent(s)/parental figure(s) to follow through with supporting the child.
