SCHOOL/FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM The School Family Support Program is provided in conjunction with the Cranbrook public schools. The goal of this service is to address issues that may be affecting a student’s success at school, at home, or within the community. The School Family Support Worker can provide the following services within the school setting, the family home, or within the community. *addressing school-based issues (eg. behaviour difficulties, lateness, incomplete work, difficulties with peers) *providing social and emotional support to students and their families *teaching various problem-solving and anger management skills *supporting families with the challenges of parenting *being an advocate for parents during school-based meetings *liaise with school counsellor, teachers, parents, and other community agencies *providing families with other resources such as reading materials, videos, community agencies *referring families to appropriate services if required.
