PARENT/YOUTH INTERVENTION PROGRAM The Parent/Youth Intervention Program provides a short-term solution focused response to situations where there is conflict between youth and their families. The service offers: *A space for parents and teens to talk and be heard *Communication support *Developing Responsibility *Discipline Issues *Finding the balance between parental control and teen’s need for independence *Parent/Teen Mediation *Problem Solving Skills *Resource Information and Referrals *Safety Issues The Parent/Youth Intervention Program is designed to address the needs of one teenage client (age 12-19) and his/her parent(s)/parental figure(s). The youth and the parent(s)/parental figure(s) attend sessions together to address the identified concerns in a safe space.
