KIMBERLEY FAMILY CENTER

Kimberley Family Resource Centre, located in Kimberley, BC, operates under the auspices of Summit Community Services Society providing confidential counselling, intervention services, and support programs.  Other programs available through the Centre include Kimberley Seniors Connection, Seniors Helping Seniors and Seniors Wellness in Motion (S.W.I.M.). The Kimberley Centre also provides a One Stop Information service to seniors, caregivers, and other individuals of need residing in the Kimberley area.  This service provides information and if necessary, assists clients in accessing the appropriate services. The One Stop Information service is able to help identify gaps and overlaps in services, assisting community partners in the awareness of the issues and needs of the senior population. 

One Stop Information is in partnership with programs such as:

*High School Healthy Salad Bar Program

*Kimberley Community Garden/Community Kitchen

*Kimberley Seniors Book Club

*Kimberley Seniors Skating Club

*Mature Drivers Program

*Seniors Citizens Association

*Valley View Exercise Program

*Volunteer Income Tax Program 

The Centre maintains an up-to-date database of services for the community including contacts and access information particularly for seniors.  Various brochures, pamphlets, and a library carrying books, and videos encompass a wide variety of subject material for public use.
